Noemie Goudal’s work reminded me of the Vanderlyn Panorama at the Met for some reason. I am really intriqued by this neo-classical work.  Caleb and I have visited it often.  James Vanderlyn was a late 18th century painter, the lone friend to Aaron Burr during his troubles and the inventor of a small building that he erected behind New York’s City Hall to view his panoramic rendition of the gardens of Versailles.  I wish I could get an eye ball on that Rotunda building-
