building deep

June 7, 2011

I am so excited about the potential of this work. Studio Unfold from Berlin has devise a 3-D ceramic printer that has a interface where you can sculpt within (it looks like) a hologram.  Discovered on Dezeen, I think this is the new edge; they designed/retrofitted a 3-d printer to push the boundries. The combination of the hand and the machine is exciting-the future. Unfold has many projects but this deep design of their vision is a lesson in itself.

Ah, not every ‘print’ is plastic. Nice. This one uses the plasticity of clay. Thanks for shedding light on this phenomena.

yes, I was glad that there is material other than the plastic.
Not sure about recycled contect of plastics though I think the large printer is using recycled.
