stick building

August 24, 2011

From Tami Wedekind

Aeneas Wilder  weaves with wood.  He uses reclaimed wood strips to build forms conceived for a particular space. Each piece of wood is laid in place – no glues,  nails, or joinery is used.  The sculpture exists through balance and gravity.  The “performance” of the form concludes with a “kick down” by the artist.
