building pivots

December 21, 2011

From Tami Wedekind

I met Krysten Cunningham in my weaving class at Barnsdall Art Park.  Although she worked on a traditional woven piece in class – her  sculptural work pulls the geometry of weaving into three dimensional object making.  The orthogonal loom structure seems to pivot in space taking the warp and weft with it.  Look for her at her London Gallery Ritter/Zamet.
