Building rain

January 21, 2012

Madeline and I went to New York City Ballet last night. We are becoming real groupies. The evening was a Jerome Robbins‘ night and where all of three ballets performed were lyrical and elegant, this ballet, The Concert, conceived in 1956 was the most human. Slated as a comedy, the Raindrop Prelude was breathtaking. With the whole cast just walking (only walking no fancy ballet steps) through the ritual of being in a rainstorm in the city.
