Not just a pretty installation – ‘cummulus‘ by artist Ciro Najle was part of a broader study by Le Laboratoire a science/art gallery in Paris. It seems crochet is the perfect medium for representing the fractal structures that make up a cumulus cloud.  These vast nets could allow people in arid regions to gather water from moisture in the air.
