history building 2

July 23, 2012

History binge circa summer 2012 started early this summer with a reading of Robert Sullivan’s work for the new issue of A Public Space . Read in a room that was enveloped in his partner Suzanne’s quilts. Suzanne Sullivan’s practice captures the essence of the events in history that Mr. Sullivan portrays in his upcoming book My American Revolution. Her quilts seem to be visual expressions of the Founding Father’s ephemeral aspirations made into elegant modernists constructions. See A Public Space for for a wonderful pairing of words and images.
