tea building

August 17, 2012

Madeline and I have tradition of one girl’s afternoon out in Maine. We enroll grandma and we set off for something that does not involve gardening or wet bathing suits. This year the new restaurant and tea house FromViandoux in Camden made the cut. Tea was a wonderful experience of small bites ,lemon curd, petit fours, and salmon with creme fraiche.  The interior done in strong grays and swaths of marigold is really pleasing and innovative. Tips to take away, love the botanical prints on yellow wall and need to find coarse linen with metallic print leaves on wing chairs.  Not all the decisions were to my taste but I felt like I was in a room done by someone with a point of view rather copying from magazines.
