temperature building

October 28, 2012

Temperature and designing for temperature is a preoccupation these days for Caleb and I. This project by young designer Leo Linderoos explores the notion of warming and relaxing via an architectural mechanism of a Sun Camera. The space is a result of Linderoos research into the effects of light on the human body.  Light and temperature as formal drivers-love it.

this is very cool, but a simulation. I think the hotter idea is designing for temperature in real life: finding some way to limit fossil fuels and be relatively comfortable AND still enjoy the beauty of daylight and good air quality.

Its an idea. Since I am sitting here waiting for a hurricane to hit I am aware that climate change is a bigger issue than this projects portrays.
