Yesterday, I got to hear Deborah Schneiderman speak again about her book  at SVA and some of the projects that she brought forward in her lecture really spoke to me. The Flow 2 project by Oregon based designers John Arndt and Wonhee Jeong is so elegant in its premise. They say that the functionality is based on three things, waste, water and energy. This kind of reduction is so refreshing after the glamor kitchen days before the crash. More and more I feel that Schneiderman’s book is a guide book to a new way of being in the world.
