We are having a cozy weekend up here in Belfast.  I went into the local bookstore and this book Women’s Work Embroidery in Colonial Boston was calling me. Wonderfully illustrated and rigorously researched there is much to learn through Pamela Parmal’s viewpoint. Parmal examines needlework as a social construct as well as economic mechanism for women and the resulting artifact is steadfast.
