Just catching the tail end of the Trisha Brown Dance Company Retrospective. The piece I saw performed today: The Floor of the Forest, was first performed by Brown back in 1970. The lunch time crowd in The Hammer Museum Courtyard watched as dancers navigated the web of ropes, crawling in and out of the colorful clothing woven into the ropes. A structure, a weaving, and its occupants. It didn’t feel 43 years old.
