Joni Mitchell songs, poppy colored hand cut snowflakes, a mesmerizing background of orange; what more could you ask for in making a room. Rebecca Niederlander recent installation at Museum of Art and History in Lancaster, CA shows many sides of her work, the meditative obsession with the space that lines embody and her earthy practice of community engagement all come together in narrative orange and yellow. In this single room, layers of Neiderlander’s thoughts and actions make a space that evolves into a kinetic landscape.
