From Tami

I love this.  Renzo Piano’s Auditorium del Parco in  L’Aquila, Italy.  Simple cubes built of pre-fabricated panels made of larch wood – famous for being used by Stradivarius to make lutes – the building is designed to perform as a musical instrument.  But I love its scale, textural and colorful wood facade and playfulness. It is a temporary structure – meant to be relocated as required.  Maybe they can relocate it to  L’ Angeles.  Meanwhile Renzo is  bringing to Los Angeles a glass dome for the new Motion Picture Academy…hmmm.  Can we trade in the glass dome for some of that colorful, textural well scaled wood?
